A Girl's Post who wasn't offered an MRT Seat Went Viral

A facebook post of Karla Monique Olandesca went viral after she claimed to be disrespected during her ride in MRT. She stated in her post that a guy, who on some comments, named as Niko Olarve disrespected her in a sense that he didn’t offer her a seat. She added that the guy is “Ungentleman” considering that he already saw her in front yet she saw no sense of hospitability. What made the post viral is the statement “Kung Ano Yung Kina-Pangit Ng Mukha Mo.. Yung Din Kina-Pangit Ng Ugali Mo. Bagay Na Bagay yung Mukha Mo Sa Ugali. Perfect Combination Pare! Haha!”

Some see this as cyber-bullying, aside from the fact that she stole a shot from Niko. The assumption is everyone knows that any messages or post with belittling information about a particular person is a form of cyber-bullying contradicting to the Philippine Anti Cyber-Bullying Act of 2015 ( Read more about this act here: Anti Cyber-Bullying Act of 2015. )

"Cyber-bullying is one such problem that the advancement in technology and social media has generated. It can potentially affect not only school-aged children, but also any individual who has access to a mobile phone or the internet.
Andaya-a known congressman, defined cyber-bullying as acts of cruelty committed using the internet or any form of electronic media or technology that has the effect of stripping one’s dignity or causing reasonable fear or physical or emotional harm.

The viral post even reached to the fictional facebook character- Senyora and found the post offensive.

At the same time, the post rages some facebook users and demand for a case against the poster.

Karla then rebutted that her post is intend for some guys out there to be more observant and her post doesn't meant anything but to appeal respect.

OPINION: As technology goes rampant and communication has become so easy. People tend to be more aggressively expressive in most cases. A think before a click is indeed a help to be more cautious and observant unless post is found to be fair and justifiably conforming the majorities’ rights.
